ABOUT
Katya Sadoff (b. 1998, Colorado) is a photographer and printmaker currently based in Chicago, IL. In 2020, she received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Sadoff’s work explores how the feelings of comfort, belonging, and false nostalgia, as they are related to the idea of home, change over time. Her desire for the preservation of her perception of home and her affinity towards it is largely influenced by the multitude of times she had moved while growing up. She has been a recipient of the SAIC merit scholarship from 2016 through 2020. Her work has been featured in The StateView Hotel - Autograph Collection, Siragusa Gallery, and the Chicago Art Book Fair. She recently completed an artist residency at Kriti Gallery in Varanasi, India. Her work was most recently shown in the Spring 2020 Undergraduate Exhibition at Sullivan Gallery.
